This series captures a pivotal moment in E. Morisot's Cow Collection, as representation begins to give way to abstraction. Maintaining her belief that cows are fundamental to the living landscape.  Morisot begins to simplify forms and explores structure. Herds compress into horizontal groupings, and shapes are distilled, shifting focus from detail to essence.

Her brush balances open, luminous fields with emerging geometric forms. The palette expands beyond blues and greens to vibrant hues and simplicity.
